“Any time is a good time to start a company.”

~Ron Conway, Noted Startup Investor

The Story to understand:-

Sheetal and Shalini were friends from the same school, who from the beginning, was very creative and wanted to do a new thing, now and then.

When Sheetal was in college, she got an interesting idea that she should start a startup to help the fruit vendors of her city.

But, she over-thought it and kept questioning her idea to reject it at last.

She did not proceed with it.

Although she had the resources to go for it, she was still hesitant whether to tell people about it, because she felt people would not like it or so.

On the other hand, when Shalini got an idea when she was in college, she questioned her ideas in a positive sense and kept arguing with herself, until she got the best results from the conversation.

Once she was ready with the idea’s research and development part, she prepared a B PLAN for the same and continued to know more about the target market and product mix.

Once that happened, she approached one of her college alumni, who was a CFO of a global company, and told him about her idea.

The leader liked the idea and requested a meeting on the same.

After 5 years, Shalini was the CEO of the best startup in her state, and Sheetal was still working in a Marketing company, still waiting for the perfect time to implement her ideas, which she never really could.

Here are a few takeaways from the episode:

● If you have an idea, don’t worry about its implementation and funding in the first place itself, first, start your brainstorming process, ask yourself the relevant questions.

● Be the Mentor for yourself.

● Trust your ideas before you tell people those ideas.

● Your first mentor is yourself, believe in your ideas.

● If you get an idea, talk to people who can validate it.

● Read a lot, learn from the Brands, how to be different, and create your Image.

● Don’t run after learning only the fancy words, learn the basic terms which are the most important.

● Don’t join a company, unless you are not aligned with the product/service itself.

● Don’t judge yourself, even if you fail, you have nothing to lose when you are in college and trying to implement a startup.

● Go for it.
