GROW from where you are planted!
Why do we compare ourselves with others?
An absolute myth: IN COMPARISON WE DISCOVER OUR GREATNESS
Reality: WE LOSE OURSELVES WHEN WE COMPARE WITH OTHERS
We compare because we are made to believe that in comparison, we will discover our greatness. But it curbs a person’s confidence & leaves him/her to believe that he/she is good for nothing.
It is social conditioning & later we imbibe it as self-conditioning living a life of dissatisfaction & worthlessness.
The comparison does not lead to anything, so stop comparing.
Should we compare ourselves to be a better version?
Don’t COMPARE. Comparison means something is not correct and we need to fix it.
Why compare and feel that we need to be better than anyone or ourselves?
Why Compare & Compete?
We are not here to prove that we are better than anyone including ourselves. People say that make yourself your competition.
When you love yourself, you will naturally gravitate towards things that are good for you & that will allow you to bloom to your highest potential.
Come from a place of curiosity & understanding of who you are & let that evolve. If you are wanting to grow because something needs to be fixed, then you have yourself considered a victim. But, if you want to evolve because you desire to, then you bloom.
How to ensure that we don’t fall into that trap of comparison and focus on our growth?
Self-love & acceptance of who you are is the key. Grow from where you are planted. Your journey is unique and so you are. Look for things that you love about yourself, surround yourself with people who see you for who you are, and talk to your self-hating aspects which will throw light into many things about yourself. Lotus and roses are different yet they both are beautiful in their own ways. Being aware is the key. When you become aware, you have all the potential to make the right choices consciously.
How do we plan the growth by blooming?
Our innate tendency is to grow. We have life means we gravitate towards growth. Stagnancy is like being dead. Growth doesn’t mean external only. Inner growth, healing, change of perspective, inclusion, connectedness, emotional maturity, and inner peace all of these are growing in you. Any irritation or dissatisfaction is a sign that you are not moving towards growth but stuck. To evolve, you have to deep dive into your stuckness. You have to take a moment to think, reflect, and keep moving with clarity and a sense of joyfulness from within.
How to stay positive?
We always tend to stay positive, but the key is we are more than our feelings and emotions. We should always be able to accept negative and positive emotions just as emotions. Do not run away from emotions and numb your emotions, just allow them to get that space, and from there gravitate towards the sense of inner joy or fulfillment.
